COUPLES COUNSELING<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Making the dream happen is not by chance, it is by hard work. They say nothing in life comes easy, well, the same goes for long term relationships.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are phases in life you need to adjust to, and there are phases in relationships you need to adjust to. It’s not how you get on in the good times that determines the longevity of a relationship, but how you handle the difficult times. How you engage with each other in arguments, how you forgive each other, how you allow each other to grow, to develop. Do you set each other free, and yet choose to be together, or do you stifle and try to control the other person.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

HOW DOES COUPLES COUNSELLING WORK<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It will involve being in the room together, or if online, then online together. It will involve getting to the root of some of the problems, which may start with how communication and anger is presented in the relationship and learning to manage these aspects. We will look at what offends you, what hurts you with what the other person is saying, why does it have that effect on you, and why does that person say things in that way, what is their intent. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We will most likely have to look at why you think the things you do. Where does that pressure to be like this come from. What events have happened in your past or upbringing that may influence who you are today. How has bringing children into the relationship affected it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These are very deep individual things to look at. But if you want to grow as a person, to be the best of you, to have the things you want from others and from yourself; to have the kind of relationship that you want, then these are the places we need to go.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You may need to change some of the perceptions you had about how you thought your relationship would look. The truth is both of you may have what you need right at your fingertips. A beautiful garden to live in.
